“William Tell” Starring Conrad Phillips: British born actor whose film carrer began in the late 1940’s & early 1950’s with appearances in films such as “Song Of Tomorrow” (1948), “The Temptress” (1949), “Lilli Marlene” (1950), “The Last Page” (1952), “It Started In Paradise” (1952), “Mantrap” (1953), “Zarak” (1956), “The Secret Tent” (1956), “The Last Man To Hang” (1956), “Circus Friends” (1956) & “Stranger’s Meeting” (1957) before becoming TV’s William Tell (1958). The catchy William Tell title song sung by David Whitfield had TV audiences singing along everytime they tuned in to watch the show.
