In the 1980’s Denzel made a name for himself as Dr. Chandler in the TV series “St. Elsewhere”
(1982-88). By the end of the decade his big screen film career gained momentum with his powerful Oscar winning performance in “Glory”  (1989).  In 2001 Denzel won a 2nd Oscar for his portrayal of a corrupt cop in “Training Day”.
