This cute, curly haired, dimple faced actress with the sparkling eyes, is perhaps the most famous child star in cinema history. After a couple of brief film appearances, Shirley made her official feature film debut in “The Red-haired Alibi” (1932) when she was barely 4 years of age. Some of Shirley’s most memorable films include, “Baby Take A Bow” (1934), “Bright Eyes”  (1934), “Our Little Girl” (1935), “Curly Top” (1935), “The Littlest Rebel”   (1935), “Heidi” (1937), “The Little Princess” (1939) & “The Blue Bird” (1940).

She's the daughter of a criminal who tries everything she can to keep him out of jail. But her attempts only go so far when Dad gets into more trouble. The first starring vehicle for Shirley Temple was a musical drama about an ex-con struggling to stay straight and the adorable daughter who keeps him away from shady criminals and a persistent cop. James Dunn and Claire Trevor co-star. 76 min.

Little Miss Marker (Color Version)(1934) VHS
The classic Damon Runyon tale received its first--and most-beloved--cinematic treatment with Shirley Temple as the cute youngster left to bookie Adolphe Menjou as a gambling marker. Her influence leads Menjou to try to mend his ways and marry his nightclub singer girlfriend. Dorothy Dell, Charles Bickford also star. 79 min.
